I have always wanted to be a reporter, dating back to when I wrote my first article at 15. Now, after reporting in Chicago and Washington D.C., I am thrilled to be working at the Gazette, focusing on Energy and Environment reporting.
I have joined the Gazette as a corps member with Report for America, a national service program that places journalists in local newsrooms to cover under-reported issues. Before coming to Iowa, I attended Columbia College Chicago and earned a degree in journalism.
We are seeing some of this land transition from the older generation to the younger ones.
